Helena is a  Black Country girl, now happily transplanted to Brixham, Devon. Married to the same man for over thirty nine years, she has three beautiful daughters, one grandson and a crazy Cockerpoo. She was a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor. Her hobbies include architecture, music, live theatre gardening and green issues.

She was the winner of the RNA’s Romance Prize in 2007 with Marrying Max, and Love Story of the year in 2010 with Animal Instincts.Things to Do also won the US ecataromance prize for best contemporary romance.
